About The Role
We’re looking for a dedicated client-focused Account Executive to join Anthony James Insurance Brokers, part of Specialist Risk Group. You’ll be responsible for managing client insurance needs across new quotations, renewals, and mid-term adjustments, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to quality, professionalism, and expert advice, as well as building on an inherited book of business.

What you’ll be doing
- Inheriting, owning and servicing a substantial book of commercial/corporate business (up to 400k+)
- Managing existing client relationships as well as developing new clients, negotiating with insurers to secure appropriate cover at competitive premiums
- Supporting with client insurance requirements including renewals, adjustments, quotations as well as providing expert advice when required.
- Producing renewal reports with comprehensive executive summaries.
- Reviewing and issuing accurate documentation and ensuring timely invoicing.
- Maintaining compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll be a confident communicator with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Commercial or Corporate Account Executive (5+ years)
- A commercial mindset with the ability to maximise income opportunities
- A consistent track record in producing:
- Strong retention and growth on existing business
- Producing and converting new business
- Experience with dealing with client spend of 50-500k and above
- Experience across various client bases such as Manufacturing, Construction, Motor Trader/Fleet, Transport/Haulage/Logistics and Hospitality/Retail
- Confident delivering full programmes and working across Marine, Cyber, Professional indemnity and Management Liability)
- Experience working within FCA regulatory frameworks.
- Strong negotiation, decision-making and organisation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Acturis (desired).
