The role

We're looking for an Account Executive to join as part of our marketing and communications team. You'll spend time writing, working with the media, shaping narratives and brand positioning, supporting integrated campaign strategy and delivery. Working closely with account leads across a portfolio of clients, you will produce outstanding work that grows markets and shapes perceptions

What you'll be doing

  • Build strong working relationships with client teams, acting as a reliable day-to-day contact
  • Manage and coordinate effective account team procedures, including client-ready presentation decks, project plans, trackers, status reports and updates, coordinate team and client comms, supplier POs, account files and documents, timesheets
  • Ensure readiness for client meetings and calls: book rooms, start calls promptly, prepare materials.
  • Draft and edit copy across formats - newsletters, LinkedIn and social content, articles, stakeholder letters, website copy, press releases and campaign materials
  • Support the development of brand positioning, messaging frameworks and naming/identity work for healthcare clients
  • Conduct market intelligence and desk research to inform campaign development, strategy, positioning documents and client recommendations
  • Manage content calendars and day-to-day account administration, keeping projects moving to deadline
  • Monitor news, competitor activity and social channels, flagging relevant opportunities and risks to the account team
  • Coordination, management and content development for events including conferences and roundtables. Inviting speakers and attendees, creating and organising briefings for speakers, producing content, including marketing materials and post event comms, and on-site logistical and client support as required.
  • Support the build of e-newsletters including liaising with writers and other creative support to create content such as articles, event listings and films, liaise with client for approvals, manage distribution and evaluation of performance making recommendations for improvement along the way.
  • Work alongside videographers to create films which are distributed across multiple channels, organising and briefing participants, supporting edits, managing client feedback and approvals.
  • Support organic and paid social and LinkedIn campaign execution, managing social channels on behalf of clients, drafting posts, seeking approval, tracking performance and pulling together clear reporting and recommendations
  • Support media launches and activity including content development and journalist engagement
  • Proactively pitch and secure media coverage with media sell-ins aligned to client objectives.
  • Build and maintain media lists targeting relevant, high-authority outlets and build strong relationships with journalists so they come to you with relevant stories.

Essential

  • Excellent written English, with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and formats
  • A relevant degree (healthcare, life sciences, communications or a related subject)
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • A genuine interest in healthcare, marketing and communications with prior experience in the sector
  • A confident, clear communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and internal teams
  • The right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship

Desired

  • Previous experience in PR, marketing or communications - agency or in-house
  • Familiarity with content and social platforms, plus basic reporting/analytics tools
  • An interest in or knowledge of the healthcare sector
