Account Executive
About the Role As an Account Executive, you will attract, retain, and grow a portfolio of SME customer accounts within a specific territory. Reporting directly to the Manager – District Sales, your responsibilities include:
- Winning new business by networking and identifying potential opportunities
- Taking accountability for retention and growth of existing accounts
- Acting as a critical bridge between customers and the business to develop partnerships
- Ensuring relevant information and appropriate service are provided for customers
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with local businesses to drive sales and loyalty
- Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities within your territory
- Make in-person sales calls and office visits to facilitate relationship building
- Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting business needs
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to align customer service delivery
Working Details
- Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 7.5 hours per day, 5 days a week (08:30 to 17:00, including a 60-minute lunch break)
- Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + OTE
- Role primarily field-based with office visits included

- Demonstrate strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Show drive and resilience in a competitive market
- Have a proven track record of:
- Achieving new business sales
- Developing customer accounts (retention and growth experience preferred)
- Be proactive, persistent, and able to work independently
- Possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
