Account Executive - Cybersecurity Sales
Smarttech247 is looking for a highly ambitious, passionate, and results-driven Account Executive to join our growing cybersecurity sales team. This role will focus on selling our specialist cybersecurity and MDR services into global organisations assigned by industry verticals.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in closing complex deals in IT security or managed services. You will be responsible for building relationships with key decision-makers, developing tailored value propositions, and driving revenue growth in your territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies.
- Identify, prospect, and convert new opportunities through phone, email, social, and in-person networking.
- Manage the full sales cycle, which includes:
- Pipeline development
- Discovery
- Solution presentation (supported by a technical engineer)
- Negotiation
- Tenders
- Finalising deals
- Maintaining accurate records of activities, opportunities, and forecasts within our CRM.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers and partners to drive growth and expand recurring revenue opportunities.
- Professionally represent Smarttech247 at events, conferences, and our annual company event ZeroDayCon to engage with prospects and build relationships to expand our market presence.
- Share market feedback with sales leadership and marketing to refine messaging and strategy.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ sales experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow relationships.
- Comfortable managing a pipeline, following up consistently, and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly motivated and goal-driven, with a strong work ethic.
- Adaptable and eager to learn technology sales, with the drive to develop in the role.
- Experience with CRM systems.
Desirable:
- Experience in cybersecurity sales, IT Services, or managed services.

Application Information
Salary range: £32,800 - £45,300 per annum
Commission structure: 60/40 split (60% base, 40% potential earnings)
Location: Reporting to Cork office (HQ), but open to applications within Belfast & UK
Travel: Travel will be required for this role
Days and hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm
Reports to: Sales Manager / Head of Sales
