Reports to: Account Manager
Location: London/Hybrid
Contract Type: Full-Time

Purpose of the Role

To support the Account Management team in delivering an excellent experience for our export customers. The role provides day-to-day account administration, order processing, and customer data support, freeing Account Managers to focus on building and growing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Account Support & Customer Service

  • Act as first point of contact for routine customer queries, escalating complex issues to the Account Manager
  • Day to day management of selected customer accounts
  • Process and track customer orders, ensuring accuracy of pricing, quantities, and delivery dates
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records, contracts, and pricing agreements in the CRM/ERP system
  • Prepare customer-facing materials such as product listings, presentations, and price lists
  • Coordinate sample requests and new product launches with customers
  • Monitor order status and proactively flag delays or issues to Account Managers and customers

Reporting & Data

  • Conduct regular analysis of customer performance, product mix, and sales trends to identify growth opportunities and summarise actionable insights for Account Managers
  • Track customer feedback and complaints, maintaining a clear record of resolutions
  • Support forecasting and demand planning

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Liaise with commercial admin, operations, and supply chain teams
  • Support Account Managers in preparing for customer meetings, calls, and trade shows

Key Skills & Competencies

Essential

  • Highly organised with a proactive, customer-first mindset
  • Proficient in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and presentations (PowerPoint or Slides)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and competing priorities

Desirable

  • Experience with CRM or ERP systems
  • Understanding of export regulations (e.g. documentation, customs, incoterms)
  • Ability to build rapport with customers across different cultures and regions
  • Ability to juggle competing timelines in a fast-paced international environment

Other languages

Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree and/or previous experience in account management, customer service, or sales support, ideally in food manufacturing/export
  • Experience working with customers across multiple regions is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
