Account Executive

Account Executive – Financial Reports

About the Role

The Account Executive role at FinancialReports is a full-time remote position focused on managing and growing a portfolio of client accounts in the financial reporting and analytics space. This role involves:

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
  • Understanding complex client needs and delivering tailored solutions aligned with their business objectives
  • Leading virtual meetings, conducting demos, and presenting data-driven recommendations
  • Collaborating internally to ensure smooth account onboarding and support

Key responsibilities include pipeline management, forecasting, contract negotiations, and leveraging CRM tools to monitor performance. The ideal candidate will also proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities while providing strategic insights to clients.

  • Conduct virtual meetings and product demonsrationstations to present solutions and address client needs
  • Prepare customised proposals and negotiate contract terms with decision-makers
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, finance, and support) to ensure client onboarding and retention
  • Monitor account health, track performance metrics, and identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting using implemented CRM platforms
  • Provide strategic insights and regular client updates based on financial data analysis

Qualifications & Experience

Desired Skills & Background

✅ Client Success & Account Management

  • Proven track record in B2B customer relationship management or SaaS/customer success roles
  • Experience as an Account Executive or equivalent is highly preferred

✅ Consultative Selling & Negotiation

  • Strong ability to present technical/financial solutions clearly to stakeholders
  • Experience in contract negotiations and deal structuring

✅ CRM & Digital Tools Proficiency

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Teams)
  • Comfortable using Excel, Google Sheets, Data Studio, or similar analytics tools

Industry & Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Preferred but not essential: Background in finance, SaaS, accounting, or data/analytics
