We’re looking for an experienced and driven Account Executive

In this role, you will focus on identifying and closing new business opportunities with Enterprise and mid-sized international companies. You’ll be selling Papaya's cutting-edge platform that simplifies global payroll, payments, and workforce management.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development
    • Generate new business opportunities with a focus on mid and enterprise global organizations and post-IPO companies.
    • Identify and engage key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Sales Execution
    • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
    • Leverage AI-powered sales and research tools to enhance prospecting, account planning, stakeholder engagement, proposal development and sales execution.
    • Deliver compelling, tailored demos and proposals to client stakeholders.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handovers to service delivery.
  • Consultative Selling
    • Understand and articulate client challenges related to global payroll, compliance, and international HR operations.
    • Recommend solutions that demonstrate Papaya’s value and ROI.
    • Operate with a consultative, solution-oriented approach.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to align client needs with platform capabilities.
    • Share insights and feedback from the field to support continuous improvement.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing full sales cycles within the payroll, HCM, HR technology, EOR, or workforce management industry.
  • Proven track record selling complex SaaS solutions to mid-market and enterprise organizations, including multi-stakeholder and international sales cycles, while leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance research, account planning, and sales execution.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll, HRIS, HCM, ERP, workforce management, or adjacent HR technology ecosystems.
  • Experience engaging with senior HR, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders across multinational organizations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, leveraging modern AI-enabled tools to tailor messaging, develop customer-facing content, and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Appreciation for working in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and eager to share best practices.
