Account Executive & Business Development
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time
At MedBoard, we are seeking a driven Account Executive & Business Development expert to contribute to our SaaS platform’s growth. This role involves managing high volumes of demo requests, upgrades, and support agreements while fostering strong customer relationships and managing accounts—all while selling a product tailored for regulated industries, specifically MedTech & Pharma.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will excel in sales, account management, and business development, leveraging their passion for B2B SaaS in regulated environments. Your role will be critical in driving growth by connecting with both new and existing customers, understanding their needs, and delivering value through MedBoard’s solutions.
Our platform is professionally loved and retention-focused, meaning you’ll play a key part in scaling its success in life sciences and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach.
- Schedule and conduct discovery meetings with potential customers to assess their challenges and tailor MedBoard’s solutions.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive, data-driven presentations showcasing the value of our platform.

Account & Customer Management:
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and preserve high retention rates.
- Manage contracts, upgrades, and support requests efficiently, handling high demand with precision.
- Monitor customer performance, volume, and engagement to tailor support and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.

Market Representation:
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to represent MedBoard and connect with industry stakeholders.
- Stay updated on regulatory, clinical, and product management trends in MedTech & Pharma to advise sales strategy.

Reporting & Strategy:
- Generate and analyze sales/fundamental reports to track key metrics and inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, and operations) to address gaps and refine offerings.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability:
- Develop strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address unpredictable challenges in regulated SaaS environments.
- Embrace a solution-driven mindset, directly aligned with MedBoard’s mission in advancing medical stakeholder collaboration.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in:
- Sales (SaaS, MedTech, Pharma, or similar regulated industries highly preferred).
- Account Management or Business Development in a B2B context.
- A hands-on track record of driving revenue growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Preferred Specialisations (Bonus Knowledge):
- Experience in regulated industries, particularly MedTech, Pharma, or clinical compliance.
- Familiarity with common regulatory processes (e.g., PMS, clinical trials, ISO compliance).
- Prior exposure to SaaS sales, enterprise deals, or contact-intensive healthcare roles.
Technical & Soft Skills:
- Proactive problem-solving for complex, unknown challenges.
- Strong ** Sender experience, communication and presentation skills**.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with a global team.
