The Role
As our Account Executive, you’ll work frontline in delivering transformational marketing for one of the world’s most recognisable global brands, Pearson.
Key Aspects of the Role:
- Reporting directly to Phil Rudd, our Account Manager
- Collaborating in lean, agile teams across media planning, buying, campaign delivery, and creative strategy
- Applying HI + AI (human-in-the-loop + AI) models to streamline global campaigns
- Early exposure to high-level, global decision-making for massive social and digital media campaigns
- Full induction & training provided on WPP’s tools, terminology, and strategies

1. Platform Mastery & Campaign Launches
- Learn to set up, traffic, and launch ads on platforms like:
- Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram)
- TikTok Ads Manager
- Google Ads
- Work directly with the Account Manager to:
- Develop & execute multi-platform media plans
- Respond swiftly to client briefs
2. Real-Time Optimisation & AI
- Pull and analyse performance data to:
- Optimise live budgets in real-time for maximum campaign impact
- Integrate WPP Open AI agents into routine tasks, freeing time for strategic activities
- Use AI for smart, automated optimisations across campaigns
3. Keeping the Engine Running Smoothly
- Handle aspects of media bookings, finance reconciliation, and campaign spend
- Ensure smooth end-to-end processes between:
- Internal creative partners
- External media owners
- Client collaborators
4. Industry Networking & Innovation
- Build a rapidly growing network of key media partners (e.g., TikTok, Google, Meta)
- Actively spot emerging trends in:
- New social formats
- Beta-testing opportunities
- Cutting-edge platforms that keep Pearson ahead

Skills and Experience
The Essentials
You are a recent graduate (or hold equivalent relevant experience) with:
- Demonstrable passion for: digital marketing, social media, and brand-building
- Focused dedication: strong organisational skills and work ethic in high-pressure settings
- Communication: confident verbal and written communicator, capable of contributing ideas in a team environment
- Tool comfortability: experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs); eager to develop analytical proficiency
- Growth mindset: open to honest feedback, driven to progress over perfection
