Account Executive – Subscription Management (Hybrid, EMEA) – Recurly

About This Role

Performing as an Account Executive, you’ll play a critical role in expanding Recurly’s presence in the EMEA region. This position requires a hunter’s mentality—someone who builds relationships, identifies prospects, consults on solutions, and closes deals end-to-end.

You’ll thrive in a hyper-growth environment, leveraging your sales expertise to create opportunities that drive business success.


Responsibilities

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Source and generate new business opportunities (hunter role).
  • Build a high-quality pipeline of qualified prospects to meet quarterly/annual targets.
  • Work with Sales Development Reps (SDRs), Marketing, and Customer Success Teams to nurture leads.

Sales Execution & Relationship Management

  • Manage full sales cycles, from prospect identification and qualification to closing.
  • Align Recurly’s value proposition with customer pain points through consultative selling.
  • Successfully negotiate and close complex, high-value deals.
  • Ensure end-to-end ownership of the sales process and territory management.

Strategic & Collaborative Mindset

  • Deepen expertise in Recurly’s product, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Marketing, Customer Success, and Partnerships.
  • Maintain a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude—proactive, versatile, and eager to innovate.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role, preferably selling cloud-based software/SaaS.
  • Proven record of driving consistent sales activity and quota achievement.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to determine customer needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, startup-like environments with high energy and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and strong presentation/relationship-building abilities.
  • Education: BA/BS degree or equiv. relevant experience.
