Enterprise Account Executive (Remote, UK Public Sector – Critical Role)

Responsibilities
You’ll be the ** Account Executive, Enterprise (UK Public Sector)**, bridging Atlassian’s global strategy with strategic UK government accounts. Your focus:

Strategic Growth:
- Drive cloud migrations, Jira Service Management adoption, Atlassian Guard for security, and sovereign/isolated cloud solutions for public sector orgs.
- Build and execute account and territory plans to maximise expansion opportunities.

Stakeholder Relationships:
- Identify and nurture relationships with CIOs, CDOs, Digital Leaders, and senior civil servants.
- Navigate complex sales cycles and close deals aligned with буреibility, framework applications (G-Cloud, DOS), and government procurement rules.

Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as single point of contact for customer engagement, coordinating with Channell Partners, Solution Engineers, Product Specialists, and hyperscaler teams (e.g., AWS, Microsoft).

Strategic Alignment:
- Serve as a bridge between Atlassian executives (e.g., engineering, product) and customers to shape roadmaps on sovereignty, compliance, legal data residency, and AI adoption.

Operational Excellence:
- Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and demand intelligence to leadership.
- Stay abreast of government policy, cybersecurity trends, and competitor dynamics.

- Engage in client meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships.
Requirements
Essential
- 8+ years of quota-carrying enterprise software sales experience, with a deep focus on the UK public sector (central/defence/health/local government preferred).
- Established relationships with UK Government departments (e.g., HMH Government, NHS Broadband, DCO), Systems Integrators (Accenture, Deloitte, NTT), and approved resellers.
- Expertise in UK Government procurement:
- CCS + framework certification (G-Cloud 14+/15, Digital Outcomes Specialist (DOS)),Tech Code of Practice, NICE IC requirement**, NCSC - cloud security criteria.
- Understanding UK Government Security Classifications (GSCP), and triggering (extensions), and secure by design principles.
- Proven track record of exceeding targets in enterprise accounts with complex regulatory/compliance requirements.
- C-level and senior stakeholder consultative skills—roles like Head of Digital Transformation, Programme Directors, and Data Protection Officers are key targets.
- Ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation (e.g., aligning internal groups like marketing, engineering, banking support web).
- Experience analysing CRM and pipeline tools (NetGreets, Dynamics CRM, dataset).
- Learner mindset with a passion for amplifying team culture through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
Preferred
- Experience in transitioning government customers from on-premise to cloud/sovereign environments.
- Familiarity with UK data sovereignty and jurisdictional laws.
- Active or eligibility for government security clearance (SC/SCI/DC).
- Start-up or entrepreneur mindset, with potential to shape a UK Public Sector operating model.
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian products (e.g., Jira Service Management, Atlassian Guard, Rovo), DevOps/ITSM/collective workspaces.
- Security compliance experience like DevSecOps, NCSC guidance for infrastructure, or cyber resilience policies.
- Connections with UK Government digital communities (e.g., techUK, CDDO, GDS), and vendor ecosystems (AWS Marketplace).
