The Role: Enterprise & Mid-Market Account Executive (Expansion Focus)

Darktrace offers unparalleled career growth alongside uncapped commission in this high-growth, AI-driven cybersecurity space. This hybrid role is focused on account expansion and revenue growth within existing enterprise/mid-market customer bases—driving long-term value, strategic partnerships, and sustained business adoption.

Location: Munich-based (minimum 3 days/week)


Key Responsibilities

  • Account Growth & Revenue Expansion:

    • Own a portfolio of existing enterprise/mid-market accounts, with a clear mandate to grow, retain, and upsell/subcross-sell revenue.
    • Identify strategic opportunities and develop tailored growth plans to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Build deep, trusted relationships with CISOs, security leaders, and key decision-makers.
    • Act as a trusted cybersecurity Thought Leader, aligning Darktrace solutions with long-term business priorities.
  • Strategic Account Planning & Execution:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Solutions Engineering, Marketing) to deliver actionable account strategies.
    • Leverage expert technical support during demos and engagements for Darktrace’s AI-driven threat detection.

  • Channel Synergy & Market Representation:
    • Partner with German-speaking channel providers to identify and unlock new growth opportunities.

What You’ll Bring

The Ideal Profile

  • A commercially driven, results-oriented individual with a proven track record in account growth or expansion sales within B2B cybersecurity or tech.
  • This is an enterprise/mid-market growth focused role—prior experience with account development ideal.
  • Primary language: German (fluent written/verbal); fluent English required.
  • Keen interest in AI, machine learning, and next-gen cybersecurity.

Strategic Qualities

✔ Producer mindset: Uncapped earnings tied directly to your account expansion results through tailored strategies. ✔ Account expansion expertise: Established success in increasing Low-Touch, Recurring, and discretionary revenue at enterprise/mid-market companies. ✔ Fluency & credibility: Urgent need for German-skill in the DACH region to scale our accounts at the right level. ✔ Channel partner experience: Background navigating partnerships for stickiness much preferred. ✔ High-growth/business pitch: Comfort driving revenue at high targets with a combination of urgency, visionary leadership, and technical buy-in.
