The Role – Account Executive
Join PIB Insurance’s Specialty division, a continuously evolving division of PIB where specialists tackle complex and niche risks, work closely with market-leading experts, and build long-term client partnerships while progressing their careers.
We are on the lookout for an experienced Account Executive to take ownership of managing and developing a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and high-quality service, while delivering profitable growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and develop a portfolio of insurance clients, leading on day-to-day servicing, renewals, review meetings, and documentation, while maintaining accurate records and MI.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues, supporting retention, growth, and excellent client service, including proactive claims support.
- Structure and negotiate insurance programmes by preparing market presentations, analysing quotations, advising on cover and wording, and presenting clear reports and proposals.
- Identify and convert cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, operating in line with FCA/IDD requirements, TCF principles, and current market developments.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an insurance broking/Account Executive or similar client-facing role, with strong technical knowledge of general insurance products and confident negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Someone progressing towards or holding professional insurance qualifications (e.g. Cert CII / Dip CII).
- Client-centred, commercially minded, and highly professional, with excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage renewals, new business, and mid-term work across multiple accounts.
- Demonstrable track record of managing and retaining a portfolio of clients, achieving growth targets, and using MI/data, broking systems, and Microsoft Office to support effective account development.
