About the Role
As a Public Sector Account Executive at Cohesity, you’ll play a critical role in growing our revenue by implementing sales strategies, exceeding targets, and fostering customer satisfaction. You’ll work cross-functionally with channel partners, build compelling solutions for the Cohesity hyper-converged infrastructure, and lead quarterly/annual revenue efforts.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll focus on the following core areas:
- Efficiently design and execute sales strategies to drive growth and exceed revenue targets
- Develop and lead the sales pipeline, accelerating high-impact deals
- Collaborate with channel partners to sell Cohesity solutions and generate revenue
- Prospect proactively, engage decision-makers, and close business
- Align sales strategies with regional priorities, consistently meeting or surpassing targets
- Deliver technical and business value propositions, proving Cohesity’s ability to meet customer objectives
- Coordinate multi-functional team efforts to execute quarterly and annual account plans
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience in proposing technology solutions to all levels of an organization
- Proven track record in higher education account management
- Proven success in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, workflow automation, and decision-making
- Experience collaborating with customers and partners to drive complex deals
- Expertise in engaging decision-makers to shape and close proposals
- Comfort presenting technical and strategic content to small and large audiences
- Exceptional written, verbal, and negotiation skills
- Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable in hybrid/remote work environments
- Willingness to travel for client-facing work
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent field (or relevant industry experience)
