Why This Role Matters

You’ll be one of the first dedicated Account Executives in our Mid-Market team—critical to scaling Humaans’ presence as we expand beyond early adopters into Europe’s fastest-growing companies (200–6,000+ employees). This is a high-impact, owner-driven role: build proprietary strategies, close deals, and shape the product roadmap from a customer-first perspective.

Your contributions will define our future—because we don’t just sell software. We’re building the operating system for modern work.


Key Responsibilities

Revenue Ownership: Mid-Market Scale

  • Lead end-to-end sales pipeline for scale-ups and mid-market companies (200–3,000 employees), with room to verticalise further.
  • Own and close premium deals (ARR: $50K–$100K+), exceeding targets through relentless execution.
  • Design data-driven outreach strategies, tactics, and messaging tailored to HR/People leaders and business transformation executives.

Strategic Product & Sales Synergy

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and Customer Success to refine positioning and articulate Athena’s AI capabilities to complex stakeholders.
  • Translate customer pain points into product improvements, influencing roadmaps with firsthand insights.
  • Partner with GTM teams to educate planholders (a core differentiator in the mid-market) on our structured workforce data model—the secret behind our AI reliability.

Relationship-Driven Commerce

  • Build long-term trust with hiring offices where difficulty (in-house geeks with friction-heavy incumbent systems).
  • Exhibit high emotional intelligence—adapt approachability, technical depth, and urgency based on executive affinity, operational maturity, and budget cycles.
  • Own the full customer life cycle: from initial touch to expansion, ensuring enterprise-grade accountability.

What We’re Looking For

✅ 4–6 years in B2B SaaS sales (mid-market preference), with experience in high-velocity VC-funded environments. ✅ Proven track record in competitive categories—charge, meet, and exceed quotas repeatedly (ARR between $50K–$100K). ✅ Proven closers: expertise in mid-size ACV deals, ideally with siCRO/VP experience or equivalent breadth. ✅ Entrepreneurial DNA: either past startup founder or unwavering ambition to build something at scale. ✅ Versatile communicator: pivot between Darling process-heavy and GTM-now visionary tones at will. ✅ Relationship master:

  • Builds trust with “busy” execs (HR Directors, CFOs, COOs).
  • Proactively colludes feedback, unblocks, and overdelivers.

✅ Leaders who lead upwards: you’ll be praised for pushing culture and setting a pace others may not be used to.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in HRIS/SHRM space (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, UKACE) or adjacent people platforms (e.g., Due, ForeScout, Rippling).
  • Fluency in German/Dutch/French or global mobility—these regions are key to our 2025/26 expansion.
