About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Account Executive to drive new business growth across the UK & Ireland. You’ll work directly with senior leaders across higher education, including CIOs, PVCs, Registrars, and Alumni Directors, helping institutions modernise how they engage, retain and grow their communities.
This is a role for someone who is comfortable operating at executive level, leading complex conversations, and shaping deals from first engagement through to close.

You’ll take ownership of new logo acquisition across Ellucian’s expanding portfolio, with a particular focus on alumni and lifelong learning solutions. You’ll be supported by an established, collaborative sales team and a well-embedded presence in the sector.
This role requires 50–75% travel within the UK & Ireland.
Where You Will Make an Impact
- Own new business across a defined UK & Ireland territory, focusing on strategic whitespace accounts
- Build and execute clear territory plans aligned to revenue and growth targets
- Develop strong, credible relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning Ellucian as a long-term partner
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with a structured, value-led approach
- Understand each institution’s priorities, challenges, and technology landscape to shape relevant solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle—from initial engagement through to negotiation and close
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline, with accurate forecasting and clear account strategies
- Bring together internal teams to deliver joined-up, high-quality customer engagements
- Stay close to sector developments, policy changes, and competitive activity
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience selling SaaS solutions, ideally into higher education
- Strong track record of winning new business and delivering against quota in complex environments
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers and navigating multi-layered organisations
- A structured, consultative approach to sales
- Commercial awareness and the ability to connect solutions to institutional outcomes
- Familiarity with AI or data-led approaches to sales is advantageous
- Experience in alumni, lifelong learning, or student systems is beneficial
