About the Role

Total Politics’ Political Engagement unit is looking for a new Account Executive in our sales team to research partnership opportunities, win new business, and manage client relations across our unique portfolio of political media platforms and events.

Total Politics Group publishes The House magazine, Parliament’s own publication; PoliticsHome, the UK’s most popular political news site; and ConservativeHome, the leading conservative news site in the UK. We also produce award-winning events programmes in Westminster and across the Party Conferences; and sell advertising across our own sites plus Labour List, as part of a fast-growing media and events business.

The successful candidate will use their understanding of the media industry and/or political landscape to win new clients, develop existing relationships, and generate new revenues, in an environment that offers an unparalleled opportunity for up-close involvement in Westminster politics.

Responsibilities

  • Work across our portfolio of market-leading political media and events platforms to secure new business opportunities from new and existing clients.
  • Evaluate and research current developments in Parliamentary and Government business and across Committee submissions to identify business opportunities and client challenges.
  • Develop and engage a network of public affairs prospects, in-house and in agencies.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team revenue targets.
  • Liaise and work collaboratively with Total Politics Group media, production, and events departments, to create and deliver client campaigns to a high standard.
  • Update and maintain company systems as appropriate (CRM, production schedules, etc.).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
