Wonks Wanted
Fenton Fitzwilliam launched in the UK earlier this year, and we're already nine strong in London.
We're a specialist public affairs and corporate communications advisory firm working with organisations navigating some of the most complex and consequential policy challenges of our time: the energy transition, infrastructure investment, technology, defence, telecoms regulation and pharmaceutical policy.
Our clients don't just need a seat at the table, they need to be genuinely understood by the people making decisions that affect them. That's our founding principle, and it shapes everything we do. We're the kind of team that will happily debate the implications of a written ministerial statement over lunch, pull apart the latest move from a government that is reshaping the UK's economic and industrial landscape, argue passionately about which select committee chair is doing the best job, and have a very good time doing it. We even have a politics-inspired Spotify playlist to prove it. If that sounds like your kind of workplace, read on.
We sit within the Paritee network alongside Brands2Life, one of the UK's most celebrated communications agencies, home to some of the world's most innovative and disruptive technology, health and consumer brands. We share an office with them, making it a vibrant, big and busy environment to work in.
That relationship means our team benefits from shared expertise, world-class resources and a creative, ambitious agency culture, while doing specialist work in the sectors that matter most. It's a genuinely unusual combination: the focus and agility of a specialist firm, with the depth and reach of an established, award-winning agency platform alongside it.
We launched in Dublin and Brussels before expanding into the UK with offices in Glasgow and London. In a short space of time we've built a team of experienced public affairs professionals drawn from some of the best agencies and political environments in the business. Now we're growing, and we're looking for a fellow political obsessive to join us.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What You'll Be Doing
- Obsessively tracking UK political, parliamentary, regulatory and media developments, and turning what you find into clear, sharp, actionable insight for clients who need to stay ahead
- Drafting high-quality materials: briefing notes, stakeholder maps, parliamentary monitoring reports, consultation responses and policy submissions
- Supporting the development and delivery of public affairs campaigns that actually move the dial with ministers, MPs, officials and regulators
- Building and maintaining relationships with political stakeholders, parliamentary contacts, trade bodies and other relevant external voices
- Helping to organise and support client events, roundtables, parliamentary receptions and stakeholder meetings
- Spotting the political risks and opportunities that clients need to know about, and having the confidence to flag them loudly
- Supporting new business activity through research, pitch preparation and horizon-scanning for new opportunities
- Pitching to the media and supporting executive profiling campaigns
What We're Looking For This Account Executive role is for someone who is, first and foremost, a current affairs geek. Specifically:
- You follow the order paper, the reshuffle rumours and the select committee evidence sessions, not because you have to, but because you find it genuinely fascinating and can't imagine why everyone else doesn't
- You have strong views about how our national and devolved governments work, who matters in a department and why some campaigns cut through while others don't, and you're not shy about sharing them
- You can write clearly, quickly and with an instinct for what a busy MP's researcher actually needs to read
- You've had some exposure to public affairs, media, politics or policy, through agency work, journalism, a parliamentary internship, a political party, a think tank or relevant study, and you're ready to put it to professional use
- You're organised and reliable, and you take pride in delivering work that's genuinely useful rather than just technically complete
- You're curious about the sectors we work in, technology, energy, infrastructure, defence, telecoms, pharmaceuticals, and excited by the idea that good public affairs can genuinely shape the policy environment around them
- You're good company. We spend a lot of time together and we like it that way
