Sitemate SMB Account Executive (London, UK) – Full-Time Role

Overview

Welcome to the Sitemate SMB Account Executive (AE) position! This role requires you to own the entire end-to-end customer journey—from initial lead qualification to post-sale account expansion, driving growth while maintaining trusted relationships with high-intent and lower-intent prospects.

As an SMB AE, you’ll:

  • Qualify, nurture, and close inbound and outbound opportunities
  • Specifically owner of all post-sale expansion (cross-sell/license growth) for 6 months afresh customers
  • Engage prospects through discovery calls, CDLS (Customer-Driven Discovery Learning Sessions), and tailored demos
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Account Managers (AMs) for smarter account growth

📍 Location: Full-time, in-person in London (Hybrid options not available for this role) 💰 Compensation: ✔ OTE: £78,000 (incl. pension) ✔ Base Salary: £44,000 (incl. pension) ✔ Commission target: £34,000

Core Responsibilities

🎯 Daily Activities

  • Unlock momentum for high/low-intent leads through follow-up, personalised conversations, and proactive control of your pipeline.
  • Master Salesforce CRM: Update stages, log call notes, track next steps, multiply-thread accounts, and keep deals fluid for expansion.
  • Smooth handover with SDRs, CSMs and SMB AMs — prioritize 6 months account growth.
  • Target mix of new business and upsells.

🏆 Sales cycles from start to finish

  • Qualifying new leads through discovery & intutions.
  • Presenting demo through real case examples.
  • Closing & optimizing deals in line with Product teams.
  • Post-sale, retaining ownership for cross-sell & expansion.

👥 Cross-functional collaboration:

With Engineering, Product, Marketing, CSMs, and Account Teams to ensure consistent customer experience and dynamic (upsell) recommendations.

📊 Pipeline & Performance Control

  • Daily review of pipeline coverage geared towards accurate forecasting & quota attainment.
  • Focus on high-intent leads + preemptively decimate through lanes (Lead steering).

  • Lead Intensity: Lower-intent helps requires proactive nurturing strategies (due diligence + proofpoints) to move deals.
  • Decisive stakeholders: Construction timelines are unpredictable-expect lengthy approval chains (quieter work before actual engagement reveals itself).
  • Multi-threaded accounts: Manage one end-to-end cycle/against account growth temps whilst keeping CRM hygiene (discounts, forecasts, and agreed epics).

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • See, ** Industrial/ Built-World exposure (reflects experience as logistic analyst, plant engineer or B2B actuator of something).

Nice To Have

  • Experienced first-hand SaaS sales (especially cloud/tech saas) cycles in **successful roles.
  • Built experience in software sales in infrastructure verticals.

  • Salesforce
  • Microsoft 365 Applications: Skype, Excel
  • Good connection to digital communication

Nice To Know

Prior Front or Loom usage experience considered favorable. But none are necessarily essential if you handle a variety of collaboration tools.
