Role Summary
The Account Executive (AE) is responsible for driving sales growth through a combination of new business acquisition and account expansion. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong client relationship management, and proficiency in consulting with prospective or existing clients to tailor Deel’s solutions to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Client Engagement
- Manage a designated list of prospective or existing accounts, proactively identifying business opportunities.
- Deliver tailored sales pitches, articulating Deel’s value proposition and aligning solutions to client challenges.
- Lead the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and closing.
- Focus on B2B clients, especially in the UK & Ireland (UK&I) region, driving account expansion and new business wins.
Pipeline Management & Collaboration
- Maintain an active and healthy sales pipeline through outbound outreach, lead management, and ongoing client engagement.
- Ensure accurate CRM updates (account details, activities, opportunities) and meet forecasting goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams:
- Sales Development Reps (SDRs) for lead conversion
- Customer Success for retention and upsell
- Product teams for solution refinement
- Marketing, Sales Operations, and Legal for strategy execution
Data-Driven Accountability
- Provide actionable insights into customer needs and market trends.
- Share feedback to refine product strategy and commercial approaches.
Key Requirements
Experience & Skills
- B2B sales experience (level requirements vary by role tier; aligns with Deel’s job architecture).
- Proven track record of hitting revenue targets and completing full sales cycles.
- Ability to build strong relationships in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Proficiency in structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sales, customer-centric selling). Preferred but not required.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Experience within PRM, RPO, or global payroll economics (a plus for UK&I-specific roles).
Core Competencies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both digital and in-person).
- Sales tool acumen: CRM proficiency; ability to manage pipelines and forecasting rigorously.
- Collaborative mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
- Results-driven, resilient, and adaptable.

Language & Location Focus
- Native or fully fluential in English (process is still ongoing to improve native and non-native speaker process).
- Extensive experience managing B2B clients in the UK & Ireland.

Compensation Philosophy

Compensation Structure
- This is an On-Target Earnings (OTE) role, combining:
- Base Salary
- Target Commission (aligned with revenue goals)
- Range in USD (localized to country upon hire): Showcases industry competitiveness and Deel’s commitment to paying fairly.
- No salary history asked for. Offers are based solely on the role and what you bring to Deel.
