Account Executive – Specialist Role in Tech SaaS Startups

Location: London (onsite 1 day per week) Start Date: July 2026 Contract Duration: 6-month contract (reviewed every 6 months for renewal, potential 10% rate uplift if renewed) Contract Type: Inside IR35 Daily Rate: £200 per day

About the Role

We are recruiting for an Account Executive to join Deloitte Operations and engage with a high-growth Tech sector SaaS startup. This dynamic role spans the full sales cycle while fostering deep relationships with startup founders, senior stakeholders, and executive teams.

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end sales cycle ownership: Prospecting → qualifying → negotiating → closing → handover
  • Secure consistent new business wins by targeting early-stage and high-growth SaaS companies
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with C-suite and founder-level decision-makers
  • Drive measurable growth, with KPIs focused on pipeline expansion, revenue targets, and retention
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise client value and lifetime spend
  • Collaborate with a lean, agile team across business development and client management

Requirements & Skills

Experience

  • 360-degree sales experience exclusively in startups or scale-ups (large enterprise experience discouraged)
  • SaaS sales-specific expertise, particularly within the Tech sector
  • Proven track record of consistently winning new business against KPIs

Competencies

  • Experience thriving in fast-paced, lean environments with minimal hand-holders
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) with effective use of sales intelligence tools
