As our next Account Executive, you’ll help grow Checkatrade by bringing more trades onto the platform across different regions and categories. This is a new business role focused on finding high-potential trade businesses and guiding them from the first conversation through to closing the deal. You’ll sit within our Strategic Growth team, working at the heart of our Go-To-Market function and playing a key role in expanding our trade network.

Forget long lists, here’s what you’ll actually spend your time on: Winning new trade businesses. You’ll identify high-potential small and medium trades, build compelling proposals, negotiate terms, and hand them over smoothly to our onboarding team. Spotting opportunities in the market. Using data and insights, you’ll understand where Checkatrade is strong, where we can grow, and where new opportunities exist. Working across teams. You’ll partner closely with Account Management, Vetting, Product and Operations to identify regions and categories that can benefit most from Checkatrade. Becoming a product expert. You’ll learn our product suite inside out so you can build strong business cases tailored to each prospect. Owning the outbound sales cycle. From prospecting and qualification through to proposals, negotiation and closing deals. It’s not about ticking every box. It’s about turning up curious, ready to crack on. You’ll do well here if you bring: Solid experience in commercial or new business sales, ideally in similar markets, with a strong focus on outbound acquisition. A proven track record of identifying new clients, building tailored proposals, and hitting revenue targets. The ability to build strong relationships with tradespeople and work closely with internal teams. Confidence managing multiple priorities and working across teams to improve how things get done. Experience building customer relationships, whether that’s through digital outreach or face-to-face conversations. Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), outbound tools, and an understanding of AI-powered optimisation tools. Tenacity, motivation and resilience.
