About the Role
fresh is looking for an Account Lead to inspire and grow one of our key account teams, delivering best-in-class brand experience and event projects for some of our most important clients.
Ready to make your mark at a senior level? Looking for an opportunity where you can truly shape relationships, teams and work? Well, look no further… fresh is on the hunt for a confident, strategic and people-focused Account Director to join our busy Account Team. This is a senior role for someone who thrives on leading and developing others, building long-term client partnerships and overseeing the seamless delivery of complex projects. You’ll be a safe pair of hands for your clients, a trusted leader for your team and a key contributor to the wider agency’s growth.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Have extensive experience in a senior account leadership role within an agency or brand experience environment
- Be confident and have experience in managing and growing long-term client relationships at a strategic level
- Be an inspiring people leader, with proven experience line managing, mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Have strong commercial acumen, with end-to-end responsibility for account and project profitability
- Be strategically minded, able to influence client thinking and contribute to wider marketing and events objectives
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure and leading by example
- Have exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Be highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable overseeing multiple projects and priorities
- Be collaborative, proactive and solution-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Be passionate about the industry and curious about new trends, technologies and ways of working
- Be willing to work to our hybrid model with a minimum of 3 days a week in our Manchester city centre office

Core Tasks:

- Lead and grow senior client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic partner and escalation point
- Oversee delivery of all projects and pitches across your accounts, ensuring high standards throughout
- Inspire, line manage and mentor Senior Account Managers, Account Managers and wider account team members
- Support team structure, resourcing and workflow planning, including freelancer sourcing where needed
- Drive account growth through strategic planning, up-selling and identifying new business opportunities
- Lead major client meetings, presentations and pitches for large-scale projects
- Maintain strong brand guardianship and a deep understanding of client objectives, sectors and challenges
- Hold responsibility for account and project financial performance, including P&L, forecasting and reporting
- Ensure all budgets, scopes and financial processes are followed accurately and consistently
- Champion efficient ways of working, improving processes and embedding best practice
- Provide senior troubleshooting and decision-making support across projects and client relationships
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless, joined-up delivery
- Act as a visible ambassador for fresh, role-modelling values, leadership and professionalism
- Stay up to date with industry trends, innovations and emerging technologies
