Account Manager

Strategic Account Manager – Industrial/Manufacturing Sector

Our client, a thriving and cohesive business within the industrial/manufacturing sector, is seeking an accomplished Strategic Account Manager to join their dynamic commercial team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a demanding yet rewarding role designed to manage and elevate an existing portfolio of UK and Irish customers. Your responsibilities will include defending current revenue streams, nurturing enduring partnerships, and pinpointing new avenues for profitable growth.

About the Role

This is not a passive account management role—it demands a proactive, commercially savvy individual passionate about building relationships, detecting opportunities, and delivering measurable outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Customer portfolio ownership: Manage a portfolio of established accounts across the UK & Ireland.
  • Relationship building: Cultivate strong connections with internal and external stakeholders in customer organisations.
  • Account reviews: Conduct periodic assessments and maintain proactive communication with clients.
  • Growth strategy: Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new product applications.
  • Revenue protection: Anticipate risks and mitigate customer churn risk, preserving existing revenue streams.
  • Commercial planning: Develop and oversee customer growth plans and commercial proposals.
  • CRM and reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and pipeline activity.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Engage closely with sales, customer service, and operational teams.
  • Onboarding support: Assist in welcoming new customers while ensuring Seamless handover processes.

Requirements & Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven industry experience:
    • Background in Account Management, Key Accounts, or Client Growth roles.
    • Demonstrated ability to retain and grow customer accounts.

  • Commercial acumen:

    • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation confidence with clients.
  • Soft skills:

    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
    • Natutral affinity for organisation, prioritisation, and multi-tasking.
  • Technical proficiency:

    • Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • ‌ال (irdiangperimental advantage:

    • Prior exposure to the manufacturing, construction, or technical products sectors would be an asset.
  • Persevering mindset:

    • Proactive, meticulously driven, and results-focused.
