About the Company

Our client is an established and growing technology solutions provider, helping organisations procure, manage and optimise their IT infrastructure and services. They work with businesses across both the private and public sectors, delivering a broad portfolio of technology solutions through a consultative approach. With continued investment and ambitious growth plans, they're looking to expand their sales team with commercially minded individuals who enjoy building long-term customer relationships.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you'll manage a portfolio of customer accounts, developing existing relationships while identifying new opportunities to grow revenue. Working closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams, you'll uncover upcoming IT projects, provide tailored solutions, and support customers throughout the sales process. Alongside managing existing accounts, you'll also be responsible for generating new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of 40–60 customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand their business and technology requirements.
  • Identify upcoming IT projects and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop existing accounts while proactively generating new business.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
  • Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to deliver the right solutions.
  • Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and account plans.
  • Cross-sell additional technology solutions and services.
  • Achieve revenue, gross profit, and activity targets.

About You

  • Previous experience in IT sales, internal account management, or B2B sales.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple customer relationships and priorities.
  • Motivated by targets, progression, and delivering excellent customer service.
