About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Building Services team, based at our Head Office in Moorgate. This is a key client-facing role responsible for managing strategic accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and driving operational performance across a portfolio of commercial properties.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical understanding of building services, with an electrical background preferred, although candidates with a mechanical background will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring service levels are consistently achieved.
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and support teams to ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and contractual compliance, implementing improvements where required.
- Lead regular client meetings, producing reports and presenting operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for additional works and support business growth.
- Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
- Support mobilisation of new contracts and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Candidates with a Level 3 Mechanical qualification and strong building services experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrable experience managing building services or FM contracts.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contract performance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and health & safety requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.

Desirable
- Experience within commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- Previous experience managing large corporate or critical environment contracts.
