Account Manager

Account Manager / Manufacturer’s Representative, Medical Capital Equipment

Remuneration & Benefits

  • £42,500 base salary + car allowance + mileage + generous pension scheme + flexible benefits

Roles & Responsibilities

You’ll embody strategic leadership and execution, covering:

  • Field vs. Office Balance:
    • Live split between office-based pipeline management and UK-wide fieldwork
    • Occasional international travel (Europe/Asia)
  • Key Activities:
    • Serves as the face of the manufacturer, supporting and upskilling UK distributors through training programs and joint-sales initiatives
    • Proactively pursues high-value opportunities (£30K–£150K, occasionally up to £300K) in NHS and private clinics
    • Delivers demonstrations, equipment trials, and deals signing in collaboration with distributor partners
    • Writes proposals, trains distributors, and builds presentations to respond to complex NHS/private tenders
    • Guarantees smooth execution by bridging distributor expectations and *internal technical teams
  • Client Interaction:
    • Leads flexible sales cycles with a consultative approach to technical sales

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will align with the following criteria:

  • Self-driven: A “sponge for information”, eager to absorb and apply technical knowledge
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of proven sales success, with meet/exceed targets track record
    • Medical/surgical capital equipment or high-value technical sales experience (preferably into clinical environments)
    • Decisive experience in selling to distributors/channel partners, and (desired):
      • Experience in managing training programs
  • Skills:
    • Pitchperfect telephone manner, flawless written communication (CPQs, presentations)
    • Demonstratable demonstration skills for high-value pitches
    • Full UK driving licence (mandatory for travelling field role)
  • Eagerness to Travel: UK-wide and international capability, especially for distributor support and healthcare consults
