Company Description
Agri Management Solutions (AMS) provides comprehensive horticultural and agricultural project management services alongside a full range of irrigation equipment and systems. The company focuses on delivering turnkey, “one stop shop” solutions, while also allowing clients to select specific services as needed. AMS supports projects from initial planning applications and system design through to product supply, boreholes, reservoir excavation and lining, groundwork, and installation. The company works closely with leading irrigation manufacturers such as Lowara, Grundfos, Hunter, Supreme, VDL, Netafim, and Dosatron, and offers an extensive product range including pipes, fittings, pumps, valves, tanks, sprinklers, drip tape, drainage, and rainwater harvesting components. AMS is a main distributor for Netafim products and provides technical support and delivery across mainland UK and Ireland.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Account Manager role based in Hereford, focused on agricultural and horticultural irrigation equipment and systems. The Account Manager will manage relationships with new and existing clients, understand their project requirements, and propose suitable irrigation solutions from AMS’s product and service portfolio. The role involves preparing quotations, coordinating orders, and overseeing the smooth delivery of equipment, while working closely with internal teams to ensure timely installation and service support.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Visiting customer sites
- Advising on system design options
- Following up on leads
- Handling inquiries
- Maintaining accurate records in CRM or sales systems
The Account Manager will also collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers, stay informed about product developments, and support business growth through proactive account development and market awareness.
Qualifications
- Experience in account management, customer relationship management, and sales within agricultural, horticultural, or technical products.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and related equipment (e.g., pumps, pipes, valves, sprinklers, drip irrigation, storage tanks).
- Ability to understand project requirements, interpret technical information, and support system design and specification.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining accurate documentation, quotes, and CRM records.
- Comfort with using standard office software and digital tools to manage correspondence, reporting, and order processing.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to customer sites within the region as required.
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, irrigation, engineering, or a related field is beneficial; a relevant technical or business qualification is an advantage.
