Scientific Sales Executive (Remote, South East Focus)
About the Role
Exciting opportunity to join an innovative, industry-leading laboratory equipment distributor, driving Sales in the South East.
You’ll be part of a leading UK provider of analytical instruments, offering products like sample preparation systems and elemental analysis instrumentation.
This role is ideal for an ambitious scientist who thrives in a servicing-focused environment, balancing account management, technical consulting, and business development in academic, CRO, biotech, and pharma settings.
Remote with ~60% in-person travel—perfect for those who love on-site demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations across the Southeast (covering locations such as London, Cambridge, Oxford, Kent, Leicester, Northampton, Ipswich, St. Albans, Luton, Watford).

Key Responsibilities
- Support customers by identifying key pain points and recommending products from your portfolio that best meet their needs.
- Manage existing accounts while expanding into new academic, contract research organisations (CRO), biotech, and pharmaceutical laboratories.
- Conduct instrument demonstrations, technical presentations, and sales negotiations on-site (~60% travel).
- Drive sales growth through proactive customer engagement and commercial opportunities.
- Leverage your technical knowledge to provide expert advice, ensuring customers achieve their analytical goals with the right equipment.
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Qualification: BSc minimum in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Work Authorization: Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- Mobility:
- Valid UK driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the South East.
- Experience:
- Proven scientific sales experience is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the sales cycle, including needs analysis, proposal writing, and closing deals.
