Division: UK Business

Job Location: GBR-Birmingham-Three Snowhill, GBR Bristol - Assembly, GBR-London-BTHQ One Braham, GBR-Manchester-New Bailey

About The Role

As an Account Manager in BT’s Banking & Financial Services team, you'll work closely with some of the UK’s leading financial institutions, building strong partnerships and helping them tackle their biggest technology challenges.

You'll have the opportunity to grow and develop key accounts by bringing together BT’s expertise across secure networks, cloud, and digital transformation solutions. Along the way, you'll support customers with their resilience, compliance, and modernisation goals, playing an important role in helping some of the UK's most critical organisations adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing digital world.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage a portfolio of 7–12 banking and financial services accounts, aiming to actively grow BT’s presence and wallet share within those businesses.
  • Manage forecasts, revenues and P&L for your accounts, ensuring targets are met and opportunities are accurately tracked.
  • Build and execute account plans focused on “hunting” new opportunities within existing customers, from first contact through to successful close.
  • Collaborate with solution specialists and cross-functional teams to understand customer pain points and design tailored, multi-tower solutions (e.g. connectivity, security, infrastructure).
  • Develop multi-million-pound transformation programmes and opportunities, including underlay and overlay network solutions, cloud connectivity, and security services.
  • Maintain deep understanding of financial services regulations (e.g., FCA, PRA) and ensure BT solutions meet compliance and security standards.
  • Provide clear, proactive communication to customers and internal stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for your accounts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
