Account Manager
Brand: Guerlain
Location: Boots Bon Accord Centre, Aberdeen
As an ambassador for the Guerlain Maison, your role adores embodying and transmitting the house’s values to our customers and employees. Reporting to your Line Manager, you’ll plan and manage sales objectives, ensure exceptional customer service, and implement the strategic direction set by senior leadership. Key responsibilities include team development, relationship-centric actions, and driving excellence in every interaction.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
- Develop and deliver a unique customer experience by exemplifying Guerlain’s standards across all interactions.
- Apply and enforce Guerlain’s proprietary sales methodology to drive conversions.
- Actively engage in customer recruitment, retention, and loyalty.
- Monitor and optimise retail performance KPIs (both qualitative and quantitative).
- Manage on-floor service excellence, customer complaints, and disputes with speed and class.
Business Monitoring
- Implement Guerlain’s commercial strategy and ensure goals are met, including:
- Stakeholder alignment in objective-setting, budget management, and P&L accountability.
- Analysis and reporting on key business metrics.
- Setting actionable plans and challenges tailored to results, priorities, and team growth.

Management
Team Development
- Lead recruitment, training, and onboarding in alignment with Guerlain values.
- Foster a trustful team culture through regular briefings, meetings, and positive energy initiatives.
- Benchmark, manage, and train teams with demanding yet supportive coaching.
- Conduct performance evaluations while identifying skill gaps and fostering collective growth.
Administrative & Operational Oversight
- Oversee administrative tasks (scheduling, payroll, bonuses, uniforms, training scheduling).
- Ensure procedural adherence (POS operations, merchandising, security, or cash management).
- Collaborate with HR on disciplinary measures and process-related improvements.
Visual Merchandising
- Maintain a premium storefront image (stock presentation, grooming standards, team appearance).
- Collaborate with teams to implement and uphold merchandising guidelines.
Key Profile Requirements
Technical Competences (Hard Skills)
- Proven exceptional customer service skills, interpersonal charisma, and a passion for sales-driven challenges.
- Accountability-orientation and ability to meet metrics with results.
- Strong commercial acumen for luxury environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with business management applications.
