VCCP Roar
VCCP Roar is a fully integrated PR and marketing agency, with deep specialisms in consumer, technology, corporate reputation and financial services. The agency brought together three specialist agencies with long heritage in their specialisms: Good Relations (consumer), Harvard (tech) and Teamspirit (financial services) into one fully integrated cross-sector business.
We are disruptors of influence, on a relentless mission to challenge the norm to stay ahead of how influence is earned - and created. We're a 150-person powerhouse and from synthetic audience tools and proprietary AI technology, to thumb-stopping creativity, we are obsessed with being at the forefront of what's next.
We’re looking for an ambitious and motivated Account Manager who wants to challenge themselves by joining a strong, collaborative team to work on big-name brands, delivering impactful results.
The Role
The consumer practice is a fast-paced environment, with a motivated and supportive team working across retail, travel, lifestyle and food.
Client programmes are a mix of sole consumer clients, Roar cross-practice clients and VCCP integrated clients - involving brand campaigns, new product/service launches, ambassador amplification and influencer campaigns. As we’re an integrated agency, you’ll have the chance to work not just with other PRs, but also with specialists in planning, creativity, digital, content production, broadcast media and marketing.
Our account managers are key members of the team, capable of delivering excellent day-to-day client work to achieve strong results, making sure campaigns are on track, delegating to juniors and being reliable for our clients.
This role will allow you the opportunity to work on a variety of our top clients:
The Successful Candidate
- Relevant agency experience - delivering broad consumer campaigns to a high level of quality and creativity within a fast-paced environment
- Experience of working on large brand activations across a broad range of sectors - FMCG, food, retail or travel is desirable (but not essential)
- A strong collaborative team player who leads by example – embodying the values of the agency (approachable, responsible, proud, clear, honest, agile, lean, on time, happy, curious) - meeting best practice standards for delivery across accounts and building relationships at all levels
- Hardworking, entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, organised - a self-starter who is always keen to put their hand up! You’ll be a trusted pair of hands and confidently self-sufficient
- Solid understanding of media and what makes a story - You’ll want to get involved in everything from news generation, news-jacking, new product launches, celebrity ambassador campaigns and launch events - and you’ll bring some fantastic contacts and a desire to build more! You’ll be able to draft media materials for varied audiences, prepare and manage a sell-in strategy and bring your agility to capitalise on the news agenda to clients’ advantage
- Be confident in the creation of assets and broader campaign content (i.e. launches or other events, photography, video content, spokesperson materials, infographics and other assets)
- Excellent account management – ensuring campaign milestones are met on time, monthly client updates and weekly reporting is prepared and delivered to best practice standards. Account managers should feel confident in being on top of all campaign status and deliverables - getting involved in all elements of the campaign to meet its KPIs and managing the day-to-day account work for juniors.
- Great client handler - able to earn the trust of clients and able to present confidently, building a consultative approach in every interaction with clients. You’ll quickly establish yourself as the ‘go-to’ person for clients
- Competent in social and influencer channels and have a point of view on how businesses can use these to reach audiences (we have specialists in this area, but often team members work across integrated business).
- Keen to work in an ambitious environment - our ethos is about driving impact and disrupting influence, not just delivering coverage for its own sake - so know what good looks like and strive for excellence at all times.
- Keen to contribute to business development through supporting on pitches, proposals and brainstorms, taking part in agency marketing activities and always on the look out for biz dev opportunities

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
