Job Title

Account Manager – Distribution

Reporting Line

Distribution Manager

Location

Home-based with extensive travel across the assigned territory.

Purpose

To develop and grow Omron's Distribution business by building strategic partnerships, increasing market share, generating new business opportunities and delivering sustainable sales growth through exceptional customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales, margin and growth targets across the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans with Strategic Distribution Partners.
  • Generate new business opportunities and increase Omron's share of business.
  • Build trusted relationships with distributors, OEMs, end users, system integrators and key decision-makers.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast and CRM records.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing, Field Application Engineers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support product launches, exhibitions, campaigns and promotional activity.
  • Provide regular business reviews and performance updates.
  • Operate in line with Omron's Top Sales methodology and company values.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven B2B account management or business development experience.
  • Experience working with distributors or indirect sales channels.
  • Commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Industrial automation, manufacturing or technical sales experience.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Dynamics or equivalent).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of industrial automation products and solutions.
