Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service whilst building long-term commercial relationships?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business seeking a proactive and customer-focused Account Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys managing customer relationships, supporting the sales process and identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring a first-class customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
The Role
As Customer Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of customers whilst supporting new business opportunities. You'll provide quotations, process orders, liaise with suppliers and ensure customers receive a responsive and professional service at every stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Producing accurate quotations and following up on outstanding opportunities
- Processing customer orders and coordinating deliveries
- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Working closely with suppliers to source products and pricing
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate repeat business
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and customer information
- Supporting the wider sales team to achieve commercial objectives
- Providing technical product guidance and advice where required (full training provided)
- Ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process

About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in Account Management, Internal Sales or Customer Service
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach
- Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or aerospace would be advantageous, but is not essential
