About the Customer Success Team
The Customer Success team combines Product Specialist roles (highly trained product experts) and Account Managers who deliver strategic guidance to a diverse client base, spanning:
- Fortune 1000 enterprises
- Major financial institutions
As value-added business partners, we prioritize deep customer engagement:
- Consultative approach to problem-solving
- Ownership of retention, product adoption and commercial expansion
- Direct collaboration with Sales to identify upsell/expansion opportunities
Our mission is to ensure clients have the right data—when they need it—to make informed decisions.
The Role: Account Manager, Financial Services
Primary Purpose
Detect, retain, and grow our portfolio within the Financial Services sector, including:
- Hedge Funds
- Asset Managers
- Investment Banks
- Private Equity

You’ll be the single point of contact for:
- Inbound/outbound client engagement
- Relationship updates
- Renewal discussions
- Cross-sell opportunities (with Account Executives)
Core Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional client relationships
- Centrale your role as both the client advocate and AlphaSense champion
- Foster trust by being proactive, consultative and client-focused

Boost product adoption and retention
- Achieve high-consumption rates and prevent churn
- Analyze risk factors to proactively mitigate churn
- Exceed revenue targets through upsell/cross-sell strategies

Expand within existing accounts
- Drive multi-unit adoption to uncover growth opportunities
- Align with Account Executives to identify upsell Ale perfects strategies

Extract client intelligence
- Distill lessons from client engagement to feed into product, marketing and sales teams
- Turn insights into strategic value (positioning, messaging, training improvements)

Drive business partnerships, not vendor relationships
- Position AlphaSense as a strategic partner
- Communicate value to users at every level (analysts → executives)

Onboarding & training
- Design and run new user onboarding
- Launch training programs and acest education
- Provide post-launch support

Internal & external communications
- Facilitate Bi-annual Business Review meetings
- Share marketing assets/material tailored to key personas

Engage strategically
- Proactive content delivery (emails, workshops, etc.)
- In-person activities: including floor walks, lunch-and-learns
Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Profile)
- Relationship-driven
- Proven track record building rapport—tested in Fortune 1000 or Financial Services
- Ability to foster long-term, mutually beneficial relationships

What You’ll Do (Key Focus Areas)

Maximize account retention through true ownership
- Internalize customer needs to align churn-prevention strategies

Full-cycle client life cycle management
- Engage users and stakeholders consistently
- Forecast and articulate retention metrics

Point person for Financial Services ecosystem
- Expert knowledge of capital markets, private markets, public equity
- Ability to contextualize AlphaSense value clearly
