Working within Wonderly (healthcare)
Wonderly is Haymarket Media Group's specialist agency, delivering impactful large-scale events and content portfolios for healthcare clients and professional associations. We partner with some of the UK's leading healthcare organisations to deliver nationally recognised conferences, exhibitions and publishing portfolios, including the Diabetes UK Professional Conference, the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Annual Conference, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) Annual Conference, the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Festival of Future Surgery, and the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR) publishing portfolio.
The Role
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of high-profile, large-scale events and content portfolios for healthcare clients and professional associations. Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, you will build trusted relationships, understand client objectives and ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across Event Operations, Marketing, Editorial, Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales and Finance, you will coordinate the delivery of complex projects, ensuring client requirements are met, timelines are maintained and stakeholders remain informed throughout.
This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities and is committed to delivering exceptional client experiences while fostering long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with healthcare clients and professional associations, acting as their primary day-to-day contact.
- Understand client objectives and translate these into clear delivery plans across multiple internal teams.
- Coordinate the successful delivery of large-scale conferences, events and content portfolios, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, monitoring project milestones, priorities and risks.
- Facilitate and chair internal planning meetings and client progress meetings, ensuring actions are clearly communicated and followed through.
- Work closely with Event Operations, Editorial, Marketing, Finance and Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Prepare weekly data reports, presentations and project updates for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and contribute to the growth and development of existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting using digital project management systems.
Key Relationships
You will work closely with the Medical Associations Director and colleagues across Event Operations, Editorial, Marketing, Finance, and Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales to ensure the successful delivery of client projects.
Externally, you will build and maintain effective relationships with key client contacts, committee leads and stakeholders across healthcare organisations and professional medical associations.

Knowledge
- Good understanding of large-scale event planning and delivery, with an appreciation of the end-to-end event lifecycle.
- Knowledge of client account management within an agency, events, media or professional services environment.
- Understanding of project management principles, including planning, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Awareness of content, publishing or editorial processes is desirable.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of delivering value for clients while supporting business objectives.

Skills
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop trusted partnerships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, capable of leading meetings, facilitating discussions and delivering engaging presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using Excel or Google Sheets to interpret data and produce meaningful insights.
- Experience in using project management platforms, such as Monday.com, to plan, monitor and track project delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and communicate with senior client stakeholders.
- A proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring projects are delivered to a consistently high standard.
Experience
- Experience managing client accounts within an agency, events, media or professional services environment.
- Demonstrable success in coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects from planning through to completion.
- Proven ability to build, develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Confidence in managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in preparing project plans, reports and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and reporting systems to monitor project progress and communicate updates effectively.
