Now Ayrshire Radio is a vibrant community-focused commercial radio station broadcasting across Ayrshire and the west coast of Scotland. Founded in 2025, the station operates from state-of-the-art studios in the Auchencruive Estate in Ayr and is purpose-built to serve the people of Ayrshire. The programming blends timeless favourites with current hits from the 90s to now, offering a familiar yet fresh listening experience.

Now Ayrshire Radio is dedicated to reconnecting listeners with local voices, stories, and culture that reflect the uniqueness of the region. The station’s mission is clear: made in Ayrshire for Ayrshire.

Role Description

The Account Manager is a part-time, on-site role based at our studios in Ayr. This role is responsible for building and managing relationships with local and regional advertisers, understanding their business needs, and proposing radio and digital advertising solutions that align with their objectives.

  • Prospecting new clients
  • Maintaining regular contact with existing accounts
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Coordinating campaign details with the programming, production, and traffic teams

The Account Manager will track campaign performance, provide clear reporting to clients, and identify opportunities to upsell or renew packages. The role also involves attending local events and networking activities to represent the station and strengthen community and commercial partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in client relationship management, account management, and customer service.
  • Experience in sales, business development, or advertising, ideally within media, marketing, or local commerce.
  • Strong communication skills, including confident verbal presentation and clear written communication.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple accounts, campaigns, and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, office software, and basic digital platforms to track activity and prepare proposals.
  • Knowledge of or interest in radio, audio content, and local Ayrshire businesses and communities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with creative, programming, and technical teams, and to adapt in a fast-moving environment.
  • Previous experience in a commercial or community media environment is an advantage.
  • Valid right to work in the UK and availability to work on-site in Ayr for agreed part-time hours.
