Social Account Manager (Hybrid) – The Social Shepherd 🐑
About the Role
We’re seeking a highly organised Account Manager with strong Social media experience, ideally gained within agency environments.
This is the kind of role for someone who thrives under pressure, managing high-volume projects and tight deadlines. Based on one of our biggest organic social accounts, the position blends account management with project management, requiring collaboration across teams, client coordination, and ensuring quality control for high-impact deliverables.

Role Responsibilities
Client Management & Communication
- Act as the primary delivery contact for assigned clients, ensuring clear, proactive, and professional communication.
- Lead client status meetings, presenting progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Partner with Account Directors to manage client expectations, offering transparent updates on risk factors, scope adjustments, and resource availability.
Project & Delivery Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of both business-as-usual (BAU) and campaign projects, ensuring on-time, on-brief, on-budget results.
- Collaborate with Account Directors to translate client objectives into structured project scopes, briefs, and deliverables.
- Develop, maintain, and track detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines, aligning stakeholders across teams.
- Proactively identify risks, challenges, or scope creep, proposing solutions to mitigate delays.
- Enforce quality control, ensuring deliverables meet both internal and client standards before sign-off.

Financial & Resource Management
- Monitor project budgets, reporting on time allocation and resource efficiency to maintain profitability.
- Work cross-functionally to allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.
- Optimise workflows to balance workloads while driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Internal Collaboration & Leadership
- Foster collaboration with creative, social, paid media, and influencer teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide clear, consistent updates internally to keep teams aligned on priorities and progress.
- Champion project management best practices within the team, embedding scalable workflows and tool use (e.g., ClickUp).
- Share knowledge to improve process consistency across departments.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Standardise use of project management platforms and tools, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing optimisation of delivery processes to support growth at scale.
- Stay informed about multi-channel marketing workflows (creative agencies, social, influencer, paid media, and production) to manage integrated projects.
Role Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar project management role within agency environments.
- Exceptionally organised mindset, with a passion for delivering structured results.
- Working knowledge of the social media landscape, preferably with experience in this space. (while not mandatory, an enthusiasm for social is highly valued).
- Proactive approach to identifying risks, problems, and opportunities within tight deadlines.
- Proven experience using project management tools (e.g., ClickUp).
- Strong communication skills, both interpersonally (client-facing) and internally (cross-team collaboration).
