Account Manager - Medical Communications

Job Location: Hertfordshire (Commutable from Hitchin, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Letchworth Garden City, Bedford etc.)

Job Salary: up to £34K DOE

Our client, an established Medical and Healthcare Communications Agency in Hertfordshire, are looking for experienced candidates to join their team as an Account Manager to support the management of projects across a variety of scientific areas. The company have been around for over 20 years, and specialise in brand strategy and communications, market access, publication planning, medical education, editorial, patient programmes just to name a few.

Job Duties:

The Account Manager will be working within the Client Services team, responsible for multiple projects as the day-to-day lead contact for pharmaceutical clients, taking ownership of effective and efficient delivery of allocated projects.

  • Creating, building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Project management from brief to execution
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams on content strategy
  • Developing draft deck materials / copy for internal and external presentations
  • Manage and source for external vendors and suppliers
  • Assisting with new and existing campaigns
  • Updating clients in project timeline

Job Requirements:

Essential

  • A 2:1 or above in a Life Science or Pharmaceutical degree background is extremely advantageous but not essential
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar Medical / Healthcare Communications role
  • Generic science knowledge and excellent communication skills, as well as the confidence to converse with healthcare professionals and various other clients
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactivity and project management skills
