Account Manager | Managed Services & Technology
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 basic + uncapped commission
Location: Manchester | Hybrid (3–4 days per week)
About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing Managed Service Provider with ambitious plans for the future and is looking to appoint an Account Manager to join its expanding commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, uncovering new opportunities and working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing customers, developing trusted relationships and identifying opportunities to grow spend across a broad range of IT and technology solutions.
- Have access to warm leads and partner referrals, as well as the autonomy to generate new business and build your own pipeline.

Requirements
- Experience in an Account Executive, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, or Sales role within an MSP or IT reseller is essential.
- A track record of selling multiple technology solutions rather than a single product.
- Experience working with vendor partnerships such as Microsoft, Cisco, or similar.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders from IT teams through to senior decision-makers.
- A proactive, commercially driven approach with a genuine desire to develop your career.
Role Details
- Manage and develop an existing portfolio of customer accounts.
- Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and increase recurring revenue.
- Generate new business through a combination of referrals, inbound enquiries, and self-generated activity.
- Work closely with vendor partners to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Deliver consultative sales conversations, understanding customer challenges, and recommending the right technology solutions.
