Company Description

Agri Management Solutions (AMS) provides comprehensive horticultural and agricultural project management services alongside a full range of irrigation equipment. The company focuses on turnkey, “one stop shop” solutions, offering flexible support from planning applications and system design through to product supply and full installation. AMS works closely with leading manufacturers in the irrigation market, including Lowara, Grundfos, Hunter, Plasson, VDL, Netafim, and Hingerose. Its extensive product portfolio covers pipes and fittings, pumps, valves, storage tanks, sprinklers, drip irrigation, drainage, and rainwater harvesting components. As a main distributor for Netafim, AMS offers technical support and delivery across mainland UK and Ireland for projects of all sizes.

Role Description

The Account Manager – Poultry Water Equipment & Systems is a full-time, on-site role based in Hereford. This role is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of poultry farming clients, focusing on the sale and support of water equipment and irrigation systems tailored to livestock operations.

Day-to-Day Tasks include:

  • Developing customer relationships
  • Understanding farm and poultry house water requirements
  • Preparing quotations
  • Coordinating system design with technical teams
  • Overseeing the delivery and installation of equipment

The Account Manager will:

  • Conduct site visits
  • Provide product demonstrations and technical guidance
  • Resolve equipment or system issues
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

The role also involves:

  • Collaborating with suppliers
  • Maintaining accurate records in CRM tools
  • Working with internal teams to meet sales targets and support long-term client projects

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Poultry operations and water system requirements in poultry houses.
  • Understanding of Agriculture and irrigation practices, particularly in commercial farming environments.
  • Experience working with Farms and field-based livestock operations.
  • Background in Livestock management and welfare, with emphasis on water and environmental control.
  • Practical experience or education in Animal Husbandry or a related agricultural discipline.
  • Proven account management or sales experience, ideally with technical equipment or systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and work with designers and engineers on system layouts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple projects and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Comfort with frequent on-site work, travel to client locations, and working safely in agricultural environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the region as required.
  • Relevant qualification in agriculture, engineering, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
