About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join BT Business as an Account Manager focused on public sector customers.
The Corporate Inside Sales team is a successful, diverse, and collaborative group dedicated to driving new business and maintaining customer loyalty. We are seeking an Account Manager, reporting directly to the Sales Manager, responsible for supporting public sector customers and delivering revenue targets across regional accounts. This role focuses on profit and revenue growth while ensuring high Net Promoter Score (NPS) customer satisfaction annually.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage and grow a portfolio of public sector accounts through upsell and cross-sell strategies
- Drive revenue and profit growth by proactively identifying opportunities and refining account planning
- Maintain accurate revenue forecasting using Salesforce and internal tools
- Build strong stakeholder relationships within local government, education, and NHS organisations
- Adopt a consultative sales approach, aligning solutions with customer needs
- Develop and execute account plans and pipeline strategies
- Collaborate internally at BT to deliver tailored expertise and solutions
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in sales or account management, preferably in a B2B environment
- Exposure to public sector customers (e.g., councils, NHS, education, or procurement frameworks)
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills, including at a C-level
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and achieve revenue targets
- Proactive, self-driven, with a desire to learn and develop
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in technology, telecoms, or IT solutions sales
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes or frameworks
- Experience with consultative or solution-based selling techniques
