Please note: this role requires experience within the MSP (Managed Service Provider) sector, or demonstrable account management experience within a technical IT services environment. Please do not apply if this does not reflect your background.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team and take ownership of a portfolio of existing clients. This is a relationship-first role for someone who understands the MSP space, knows how to make clients feel genuinely valued, and has the commercial awareness to identify opportunities that benefit both the client and the business. You will become a trusted point of contact for the accounts you manage — the person clients call when they need someone who actually knows them.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of an allocated portfolio of existing client accounts, building strong, lasting relationships that increase retention and loyalty
- Proactively engaging with clients on a regular basis to understand their evolving needs, challenges, and business goals
- Identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your portfolio, presenting solutions that genuinely add value to the client
- Attending face-to-face client meetings as required, as well as managing and presenting professionally in virtual meetings
- Managing a structured pipeline of account activity, ensuring all opportunities and client interactions are accurately recorded and progressed
- Preparing and distributing meeting agendas in advance and ensuring all follow-up actions are completed promptly and professionally
- Acting as the internal advocate for your clients, liaising with our technical and support teams to ensure service delivery consistently meets expectations
- Monitoring client satisfaction and addressing concerns early, before they become problems
- Working towards agreed commission targets tied to account retention, growth, and overall portfolio performance
- Keeping up to date with developments in IT, networking, and cybersecurity to enable informed, confident conversations with clients

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
