Account Manager

Calling All Independent Wholesale/Cash & Carry Experts (Vaping & Smoking Alternative Sector)

The Opportunity

If you are a motivated sales professional with a passion for developing customer relationships and uncovering new business opportunities within the independent wholesale/cash & carry sector—and can bring your existing knowledge and expertise within this customer channel—this Wholesale Account Manager role in the South (Birmingham & below) territory is for you.

You’ll be part of a brand-new distributor in the vaping and smoking alternative sector. As the role’s first account manager, you’ll be instrumental in:

  • Growing market share
  • Maintaining leadership in your assigned territory
  • Shaping the future of the company

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a structured sales plan focused:
    • Initially on new business acquisition, progressing to a balanced split between business development and account management
    • New customers you bring in become yours to retain
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with customers to understand their needs and tailor solutions
  • Provide retailer partners with market insights, data, and expertise to embed yourself as their go-to partner
  • Focus on marketing one of the most popular brands of oral nicotine pouches in the market

About You (Requirements)

You must currently be working in the following roles and fulfil these criteria:

  • Field sales professional, selling to independent wholesalers/cash & carry in the vaping/smoking alternative sector
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proven track record of winning new business in the independent retail channel
  • Strong commercial awareness with a customer-focused mindset
  • Organised, IT-savvy, and capable of working with data & sales systems
  • Must live within (or be willing to relocate within) the South (Birmingham & below) territory

  • Basic salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE)
