Role Overview:

As an Account Manager at CitySwift, you will manage the full commercial relationship with a portfolio of enterprise transport authorities and operators, taking ownership of the sales cycle from pipeline generation through to contract award, expansion and renewal.

You will combine deep industry knowledge with strong stakeholder management to position CitySwift as a trusted strategic partner to transport authorities, local government organisations and transport operators. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate complex public sector environments, engage with multiple decision-makers and align commercial opportunities with broader transport policy, operational and passenger outcomes.

This is a role for a commercially driven, highly credible individual who can confidently engage technical, operational and executive stakeholders, while building long-term partnerships with some of the UK's largest and most influential transport organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from pipeline generation to contract award, expansion and renewal, maintaining accurate forecasting and activity tracking in CRM
  • Develop and execute account strategies for enterprise transport authorities, local authorities, combined authorities and transport operators across the UK and Ireland
  • Build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including transport planners, operations teams, procurement teams, senior leadership and executive decision-makers
  • Navigate public sector procurement processes, frameworks and governance structures to drive successful commercial outcomes
  • Build a deep understanding of the public transport sector, CitySwift's suite of solutions and key market trends impacting transport authorities and operators
  • Create and nurture long-term partnerships with executive and operational stakeholders, influencing through thought leadership, industry best practice and product expertise
  • Represent CitySwift at industry events, conferences and transport authority forums, strengthening our market presence and industry relationships
  • Support CitySwift's broader commercial development by sharing market intelligence and customer feedback with Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams

Qualifications, skills & experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise B2B SaaS sales, with experience selling complex transport solutions to public sector organisations, transport authorities or other enterprise customers
  • Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across local government, transport authorities or similarly complex organisations
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, frameworks and governance structures within the UK market
  • Comfortable leading detailed technical, operational and commercial conversations, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers, including Directors, Heads of Service and C-suite stakeholders
  • High agency and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously and deliver against revenue targets
  • Highly organised and disciplined in CRM management, account planning and forecasting
