Role

At Octus, Account Managers are responsible for managing and growing relationships with a book of accounts (banks, law firms, or buyside firms) through subscription renewals and expansion, uplifts, and cross-selling of additional Octus products. This role would be ideal for an accomplished account management professional who is looking to join a growing and innovating fintech company. Knowledge of the credit markets is preferred though not required.

We are currently looking for candidates who have experience managing relationships with and selling to the buyside, banks, or both.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the renewal cycle for Octus’ subscription relationships covering a book of either banking or buyside accounts
  • Manage key client interactions with a focus on expansion opportunities within accounts and subscription renewals targeting 115%+ net retention
  • Build a strong knowledge of your client base in order to identify and close cross-sell opportunities, which is fundamental to achieving your quota
  • Collaborate with customer success to deliver excellent client service and customer experience
  • Coordinate with Octus’ product team to identify opportunities for product and platform enhancements
  • Track and analyze KPIs and product usage on accounts to determine appropriate relationship management strategy

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in an account management role selling to buyside firms or banks, preferably with experience working in credit.
  • Ability to manage complex institutions involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop a deep knowledge of a complex suite of products (such as datasets, API feeds, and research). Proven success in hitting quota and executing on cross-sell opportunities.
  • Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and respond quickly; ability to keep on top of all requirements with multiple ongoing workstreams
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Experience with Salesforce required
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office per week)
