Account Manager

Account Manager / Senior Merchandiser

Location: Manchester Product Area: Men’s High Street casual fashion Salary: Up to £60K depending on experience

As a 10-year-old growing men’s wear supplier, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality casual menswear to key UK brands and retailers. We’re now seeking an experienced Account Manager to act as a linchpin in driving our continued success and expansion.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of Buyer Relationships, Order Execution, and Supply Chain Coordination, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high-quality product output.


Key Responsibilities

Buyer & Strategic Liaison

  • Act as a key liaison between retail buyers, design teams, and internal staff
  • Lead sales discussions with buyers during meetings, upselling products where possible
  • Gather detailed buying briefs from retailers to inform design and sampling decisions
  • Negotiate costs, lead times, and delivery logistics with partners and suppliers

Order & Supply Chain Management

  • Raise and confirm orders, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Oversee sample and trim management, coordinating with factories for selection and approval
  • Map and manage the critical path—tracking orders from vendor to factory to retailer—to guarantee on-time delivery
  • Coordinate shipping logistics, liaising with freight providers and ensuring smooth dispatch

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with design and technical teams to feasibility-check samples and cost estimates
  • Represent client interests to ensuring long-term partnerships drive sales growth

Essential Criteria

To be considered for a shortlist, candidates must meet the following must-haves:

✅ Industry Experience – Preferably UK-based experience in a similar role or as a Senior Merchandiser with menswear brands. ✅ Upselling Mindset – Strong persuasive skills when engaging buyers, preferably former retail buyer(s) in the same space. ✅ Supply Chain Expertise – In-depth understanding of critical path logistics, factory liaison, and shipping timelines. ✅ Proficiency in English – Excel in written and verbal communication to build strong relationships. ✅ Location & Eligibility – Must be daily commutable to Manchester city centre and eligible to work in the UK.
