Account Manager Role Summary
We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team on a remote basis, supporting key customer accounts across Central and the South of the UK.
This role is accountable for generating annual revenue from an established customer base, while also identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand the portfolio. It combines account management and business development, with a focus on strengthening customer relationships, supporting retention, and driving sustainable growth.
The role operates within Hydratight’s service offering, requiring engagement with customers on technically led solutions such as controlled bolting, on-site machining, pipeline services, and integrity assurance programs.

The position requires a proactive and commercially aware approach, with responsibility for building a healthy sales pipeline across both existing accounts and new customer acquisition. Collaboration across international teams is an important aspect of the role, and effective communication in English is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver against sales and margin targets aligned to the financial plan
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts, supporting retention and long-term value creation
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the service portfolio
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to regular sales reviews and annual planning activities
- Prepare, manage, and follow up on quotations to support successful order conversion
- Collaborate with technical teams (Engineering, Application Specialists, Service teams) to deliver appropriate customer solutions
- Promote Hydratight service offerings through customer engagement activities, including presentations, site visits, and technical discussions
- Share market insights, including customer feedback, competitor activity, and industry trends
- Support marketing initiatives and broader business development activities
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (Salesforce), including account plans, opportunities, and visit reports
- Participate in regular reviews with the commercial team, including forecasting and pipeline discussions
- Follow internal approval processes and escalation procedures
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards
- Represent the organisation in a professional manner in all interactions
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational standards
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in a sales or account management role within industrial services, engineering, or technical environments
- Understanding of, or exposure to, sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, or heavy industry
- Ability to engage with customers on technically led service solutions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness, including negotiation and presentation capability
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and organise work effectively
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a wider team
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required

Education and Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant experience in a sales or commercial role
