Account Specialist
Location: Kings Hill / Hybrid Salary/package: £29,000 per annum Contract type: Permanent Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
About the Role
As an Account Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing and growing your own portfolio of education and public sector customers.
- Helping them access the right procurement solutions for their digital and print requirements.
- Building lasting relationships and providing expert guidance.
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for their needs.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts while maintaining high levels of retention and engagement.
- Building relationships with schools and public sector organisations to understand their procurement requirements.
- Advising customers on suitable framework solutions and supplier options.
- Preparing quotations and helping customers identify optimal solutions.
- Developing new business opportunities within allocated customer bases and geographical areas.
- Growing a pipeline of opportunities through:
- Proactive customer engagement.
- Account development.
- Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues effectively.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and activity using internal systems.
- Providing regular reporting on:
- Sales activity.
- Pipeline performance.
- Account growth.
What We’re Looking for
- Proven experience in:
- Account management
- Business development
- Sales
- Customer relationship management (CRM)
- Strong track record of:
- Building and growing customer relationships
- ** Outstanding communication** and relationship-building skills
- Ability to:
- Identify customer needs
- Recommend appropriate solutions
- Experience with:
- Working toward targets
- Managing a pipeline of opportunities
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence in:
- Speaking with customers via telephone and video call
- Good working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- A self-motivated and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently
- Advantageous (but not essential): Experience working with:
- Schools
- Education settings
- Public sector customers

- Commission opportunity: Up to £8,000 per year (target-based)
- 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 days after four years
