Who we are looking for
We are looking for a customer-focused and commercially driven Account Specialist who is passionate about improving patient outcomes through strong partnerships and collaborative working.
You will have a good understanding of the NHS and customer priorities, with the ability to build trusted relationships across primary care. You will be confident communicating scientific and clinical information, identifying customer needs and developing tailored solutions that create value for both the customer and Chiesi. You will thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing strategic account planning with day-to-day execution, and will be motivated by delivering both customer and business outcomes.
This is what you will do
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, connecting them with the appropriate Chiesi resources, expertise and support.
- Promote Chiesi's Respiratory Portfolio across allocated Local Health Economies (LHEs).
- Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to improve access to Chiesi products and services.
- Create and implement customer account plans aligned to local and national priorities.
- Identify opportunities to support customers through education, service development, co-created projects and value-add initiatives.
- Engage with key decision-makers across Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Health Boards, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), practices and secondary care organisations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across primary and secondary care.
- Support educational programmes and meetings in line with business priorities.
- Utilise both digital and face-to-face engagement channels to maximise customer impact.
- Contribute to Chiesi's sustainability and B Corp ambitions through collaborative partnerships and shared goals.
You will be responsible for
- Delivering sales, customer satisfaction, project delivery and other agreed KPIs.
- Increasing company revenues through the effective promotion of Chiesi's AIR portfolio.
- Implementing national marketing strategies within your local territory.
- Developing and maintaining strategic customer account plans.
- Building long-term customer relationships that position Chiesi as a trusted respiratory partner.
- Tailoring portfolio discussions and solutions to align with customer priorities and local healthcare needs.
- Identifying and progressing business opportunities that support customer and organisational objectives.
- Ensuring customer feedback is understood and acted upon appropriately.
- Demonstrating full commitment to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and requirements.
- Adhering to the ABPI Code of Practice and all company policies, procedures and values.

You will need to have
- A strong understanding of the NHS and its priorities.
- A proven track record of delivering sales results against agreed targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong account planning and business planning capabilities.
- The ability to analyse, interpret and utilise data to inform customer plans and business decisions.
- Robust clinical and market knowledge.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop long-term customer relationships.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Good IT skills.
- A full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
- An ABPI qualification or willingness to work towards achieving this.

We would prefer for you to have
- Experience working within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of respiratory disease areas and therapies.
- Experience working with Primary Care Networks, GP practices and practice clusters.
- An understanding of customer account management techniques.
- Experience delivering customer-focused projects or service improvement initiatives.
- Confidence using digital engagement channels and virtual platforms.
- Experience interpreting healthcare market and customer data.
- A strong understanding of sustainability and partnership working within healthcare.
- A passion for creating positive customer experiences and delivering tailored solutions.
